Faith Formation

Jesus chose 12 men to form into his Apostles.  They followed closely and were informed by the way Jesus lived and taught.  Following the death and resurrection of Jesus, they were transformed into the men who wrote the Gospels and evangelized the world.

This is the goal of our Faith Formation programs:  To form each adult and child into a disciple of Christ, to inform them of the teachings and life of Christ, and to transform each of them into men and women of faith who can bring light into a dark world, just as the original Apostles did.  Faith Formation is so much more than sacramental preparation or “Sunday School” for our children!

“While expressed in many different ways, faith formation seeks to help people:

  • Grow in their relationship with God for the whole of life

  • Live as disciples of Jesus at home, at work, in the community, and in the world

  • Develop an understanding of the Bible and their faith tradition

  • Deepen their spiritual life and practices

  • Engage in service and mission to the world

  • Participate in the life and ministries of their faith community”
